Triassic aged Aksehir Black
marble is a recrystallised limestone. Permian aged limestones are found as underlying
it. It also has horizontal passages to Triassic metamorphic schistes. It is regionally
covered with ophyolitic mélange. This marble, showing cataclastic texture in general,
has white calcite veins and brown styoliths.
Calcite crystals of sizes between
0.9-1.9mm are also found as bands
Can be used in interior/exterior plating or decorative arrangements. The suitability
to take block and plate; to cut sides and corners; the shapeability are good. It
can be easily cut and polished. There isn’t any rusting risk.
Block dimensions vary between
2.00*1.00*0.70m and 2.80*2.00*0.80m. Plates of 1,2, or 3cm thick and desired dimensions
can be produced.
