| | |   | | |
Elazig Cherry is found as tectonic
breccia and can be observed along the overthrusting zone. Ophyolitic ultrabasic
rocks are found at the basement. Calcite veins can be found in this marble which
were fragmented and cemented through tectonic movements. Red-green pebbles are attached
with the same colored cement. Elazig Cherry is made of serpentinised and carbonated
ultrabasic rocks. It contains some opaque minerals in this net textured serpentinised
and carbonated rosks.
Can be used in interior/exterior
plating and decoration. The usages at floor covering is decorative only.
There are some structural fissures
at block. The suitability to take plate and the cutting rate are normal, while suitability
to cut sides and corners, to be polished and the shapeability are good. There isn’t
any rusting risk.
Block dimensions vary between
1.80*1.20*0.80m and 3.00*1.80*1.50m. Larger blocks can be extracted when requested.
Plates of 2 or 3cm thick and desired dimension can be produced.
